Located within the "Fortress of Babylon," it was built in the 7th century AD during the rule of "Abd al-Aziz ibn Marwan." It contains the place where the "Holy Family" stayed and a well used by the Virgin Mary. It features a decorated sanctuary, icons, manuscripts, and rare woodwork. It is considered one of the most important Coptic churches because it was built on the site honored by the visit of the "Holy Family."
